I'm thinking of buying a Deleon or MXT. Kind of undecided on which one for coin hunting. I like some features on both. Wondering how you folks who have some hours on the Deleon or Cortes are liking them for coin hunting? Your imput would be helpful. Thanks Joe

Hi Joe, I have had an MXT for a couple of months and a DeLeon for two days. The MXT is a good machine and goes about 10% deeper than the DeLeon in the non mineralized test garden. I don't have much experience with the DeLeon but the light weight and balance make it a pleasure to use. Your ground conditions may determine your choice. The MXT has auto ground track and the DeLeon is fixed. In good ground, it doesn't make much difference. Tesoro does make some models with adjustable ground balance. Good luck and keep us posted on your decision. HH

"Where you goin' with that gun in your hand?" sorry, I couldn't resist that! So anyways, back to your question. I have no Jimi Hendrix (experience) with the MXT, but my Deleon type of thing is as good as any on coins! a coin such as a Penny or a Dime or whatever will give you a good audio / visual on the Deleon. At the end of the day, it's YOUR MONEY, and it's YOUR CHOICE! both machines will find coins
