Got out for a couple hours last nite. Hunted at the local high school this school is not that old I believe it has been there since the mid 70's but has seen many students pass through it as it is the biggest school in the area. This year I have found 5 rings here and have only scratched the surface, at least I hope. Any way I have not worked the football fields much yet so far most of my finds had been from the area where the kids hang around for lunch break. This school has two football fields side by side so I started at the furthest field at the furthest point and worked back toward my truck working the right side five yards at a time coins were sparse but good ones dimes, quarters also found a Sacajawea dollar my 3rd this year. about mid way up the field I switched to the middle of the field and first good signal was a silver hit at 3" well the grass was very tall so I parted the grass and I saw a nice silver ring sitting flush in the dirt.popped it out of the ground. It looks like it was supposed to have 12 hemitite stone in it but but there is only one in it now but it still looks good without them. well that's the story of #18 thanks for reading.......................Keep looking down!

Congrats on the ring! I think it is cool that you did not have to dig at all. Good hunting, Beale.

Sounds like you've found a nice place, Phinbolt!
A truly renewable resource.
Do your best to be on good terms with the maintenance staff and steer clear of everyone else, if possible.
There is truly no telling what kids may bring to school, and lose!
Best

thanks guys yeah its amazing the ring count this year its so fun pulling the rings from the ground or above ground..............Keep looking down

Phinbolt, I'm new to this forum and I have a Deleon with standard coil. I have been using it since the spring. I have some success mostly coins. I went back and read all of your posts for the last couple months. Congrats on your success! What coil do your have the best luck with? I was thinking about buying a 5.75. What tip can you give me on using the Deleon. Larry A, Rochester NY
