I got out for the afternoon detecting local sports fields and had a nice day with lots of pennies popping out of the ground along with other clad. A few surprises came out too, including a soccer medallion, part of a Pepsi keyring, a large ball bearing, a nice little sterling silver bracelet and best of all a little 10k gold ring.

First gold for the year...

Congrats on the sweet gold and silver! Just curious what kind of reading you got on the gold, Beale.

It read back and forth between a nickel and foil with a low id number so I got curious and dug it. And I'm glad I did! .

Nice finds Scott! Most of the gold I've found has been in the foil range. Still looking for that big 14k or 18k ring that gets into the tab range!
