Deleon questions...

I am considering trading in my Bandido 2 mmax on a Deleon and wondered about the wisdom of giving up manual ground balancing for TID info. My bandido seems to be a hot one and gets very respectable depth also so I'm wondering what sort of average depths the Deleon gets in low mineralization soil on say a dime. Also would I have to have it retuned to take my 7" concentric coil or is the size close enough to the 8x9 it comes with that it would work ok, would changing to a 7" affect the TID very much? Any other factors i should consider?
Hope you Deleon owners and old timers can help answer these questions as I've only been detecting a little over 2 years now. I sure do love that Bandido of mine so....just call me undecided. <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?">

Tough question Scott. Truth is I have not had the Cortes long enough to be sure but am pretty confident it is some deeper than my Eldorado.
I am told there is little or no difference between Cortes & DeLeon.
As far as the 7" coil I doubt your machine would need matching for it to work fine.
I have put mine on the Cortes and it worked fine.
I used it for an hour or so and found it to be a great match.
It may alter the depth reading slightly, but once you know the difference thats no problem
Air Testing on my Cortes suggests it might read 1" deeper than the target is.
Thats not bad? With the CSC I find depth of target to be half of depth reading. Again the CSC works great too.
Giving up the manual GB, not too sure I kept the Eldorado if I hit a spot that required manual GB.
