First I only seem to be getting 6 to 7 inches on a dime during an air test. Next when I go to pinpoint in all metal mode, the VCO gets louder as I get to the target but disappears when I am over the target. Is this normal? If not what should I do? send to the factory?
 
Air test are... well they are air test, we all have our thoughts & opinions about air test. What counts is an actual real world in "your ground" hunt. The pinpoint thing might be the DeLeon nulling out on the dime from leaving under ther coil without moving it.
 
Normal. You need to get used to it. It will null out or get silent if you hold it over metal, this helps for sizing up large objects because it wil remain silent over a large area.
