Deleon problem

My deleon has a problem with it every now and then when I turn it on and pass about 1 on sensitivity it turns back off. If I mess around with it for a couple minutes it works normal and finds my relics.
Does anybody know why it does this??

Broken.
Need to get it fixed.
Send it off to Tesoro and get it taken care of or some day you'll arrive at a potentially great site and it won't go on no matter what you try to do!

Sadly, you have a faulty unit send it back for repair. I used to have a similar problem with my DFX switching itself off whenever it felt like it.
I asked about this on the forum, and everyone said
'oh yeh it does that, it's a power saving thing'.
If it aint found a target after 10-15 minutes, it switches off! I don't know how many things I missed swinging that sucker around on quiet sites while it was shut down! there was no mention of this in the manual. I don't think Tesoro/Laser use this kind of 'Advanced Technology', I guess they figured the users of their machines would rather decide for themselves when it was on or off anyways, sounds like you have a faulty unit. Send it back for repair, and look forward to getting it back and digging lots of goodies up

The pot used for sensitivity also has a rotary switch attached to it....to turn the machine on and off. Sometimes they are manufactured with a poor set of contacts...send it in like the two previous posts said.
It is a quick fix.

if the pinpoint switch isn't used in a few minuets, it's for those people who forget to turn it off. Once I learned that there was no more problems. Sold it anyway, now using my Eldorado, it's a good little machine.

I hear what you're saying, but I could never figure it! sometimes I could be on a real quiet site and it would stay on, even though I hadn't had a signal for like 20 minutes? other times I could be on a site where I was getting a signal every couple of minutes, and then it would go quiet.... and I'd look at the screen and realize it had turned off
Thanks but no thanks! I'm gonna stick with the Tesoro's and forget about those all singin' all dancin' fancy machines!
HH ya'll
