Deleon on it's way!

Well I sold my Minelab Safari, and after some wheeling and dealing I have three detectors on their way. I have a White's M6, a Tesoro DeLeon, and a Tesoro Golden Umax. I have always wanted a Tesoro detector so I am very happy how everything turned out. Not sure if I really need the Golden along with the Deleon, but they both look like great units. I may put a small coil on the Golden Umax and make it a tot lot specialty detector. Anyway, any tips or points about the Deleon would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Deleon is a great machine all in all i've had three and the depth meter is only thing i believe your not going to like unless the the target is very shallow on objects that are say 5 to 6" on average will read 8" and another thing if your meter is reading one thing and your getting a great signal dig it to be sure

Well Cap'n, as from my other post, let me know how you like the M6 compared to the Deleon. I've had different units over the years and the Deleon has found the most good stuff compared to trash. The D will fool you when making a drink can seem as a silver coin. Switch to AM for sizing with VCO and lift the coil a little to see if you still get a strong signal at 3" off the ground and you can tell the difference pretty quick.

I am looking forward to the Deleon. I received my Golden Umax yesterday and looved it. About the M6, I use to own a White's MXT. I only hunted for jewelry and coins, but I used the MXT in it's relic mode to get the tones. The M6 is exactlly like the MXT except it only has coin and jewelry modes. It does not have a relic or prospecting mode like the MXT. However the M6 has tones. Thanks.

had the m6 before i started using tesoro's due to bad times sold it got the silver and never went back to whites i have found more goodies with tesoro s than any other brand

I've had a DeLeon for about 5-6 years, I still think it's thye best machine I have for distinguishing iron...watch the bars as well as the numbers and you will learn to pick the iron every time. Good luck...The Golden is also a great detector; use it in tot lots if you want, but dont waste it by just using it in tot lots.
