Went out for the whole day yesterday as I have to work for next seven. It has been raining since Wednesday night so most of the parks I was able to hunt were very soggy. Did manage to dig some coins at every park but it was tough digging in the swampy grass. By the afternoon I had a pocket full of clad coins nothing exciting. The last stop was a soccer field I met up with my co-worker for the afternoon hunt as he had to work. I have hunted this park on several hunts and have always found plenty of clad to dig since he is new to the hobby I figured he would be kept busy digging targets. When we started the hunt I told him to hit the sides of the soccer fields where the people sit and watch the games. This soccer field has on most weekends 10-12 games at a time going on every Saturday so there are plenty of fields to work on and around. We were working the second field and my partner was in and I was working the sidelines between the two fields. I hit a target that read pull tab/nickel but did not act like the normal tab and was too low for a nickel the reading strong at 12-16 where nickels are in the low 30's and tabs will jump from high teens to low 40's. I was thinking small foil or piece of can slaw but it was one of those targets that you can't ignore. So I cut a small plug ran it across the coil to make sure it was there and sure enough it was stuck right in the middle of the plug about two inches deep I found my first gold band. Its a small one but I'll take it its 14k gold bout size 7 weighs a whopping 1.7g. Once again sorry no pics but hopefully I will be able to post pictures of my recent find soon. Thanks for reading, Keep Looking Down :detecting:

Well a big Congrats! That is a sweet find for sure! Gold is always good. Glad you got out before the 7 day work week, Beale.

Man that's great.:beers:

I'm going to have to get on the stick.

There is a socker field in Little Rock.

I have thought about it, but have yet to try it.

May be I need to get out there.

But it will have to be early.

No shade.

HH,
