After working the last 12 days in a row I finally had the weekend off between work and bad weather did not get to hunt much. So this weekend I set a goal of a ring of any kind silver or gold no junk. Got out early on Saturday hunted from 8:00 am till around 2:00 found about 6.00 in clad got home with sore knees from digging a little sunburn but no rings
I guess you could still call it a good day the D worked me hard with all the coins and some were deep. Today I got a late start had a big breakfast and talked to my son who is just finishing basic training in Fort Knox Ky. he will be starting Tank School tomorrow for the next seven weeks Go Red Knights. Anyway got to one of my favorite soccer fields and began hunting I was being picky about what signals to dig I did not want to dig anything to deep cuz I was still worn out from yesterday's long hunt. I was being slow and through working the sitting area between two soccer fields. After about three hours of digging I had only a little bit of clad some foil, pull tabs and can slaw. I was getting hot and tired so I took a small break had a cold soda and decided I would work the sitting area next to the parking lot. The finds were a little better lots more shallow clad easy recoveries on about the fourth pass still taking my time and almost ready to call it a day I hit a very solid 14 to 18 signal on the DeLeon poked and prodded with my probe i still do not use a pin pointer I heard the familiar sound of metal on metal opened a small hole in the grass and saw a glint of gold and out popped the coolest little ring it's a very tiny 14k gold with seven stones six diamonds and one what looks like Amethyst. Here is a picture of this years rings to date the one on top is today's lucky find..Thanks for reading my long tale of success with my terrible taskmaster the Deleon...................Keep swinging
