Deleon, does it get any better than this?

Scored two more silver coins this morning and 2 rings. One was silver, and the other was junk. Also dug 91 other coins. I've found 6 silver coins and 2 silver rings so far this year, and all but 2 coins were found with the Deleon. It has the sweetest audio of all my Tesoros, depth that matches the Vaquero, and very long battery life. If I could only have one Tesoro, it would be the Deleon!

The Deleon is a deep hitter for sure and it loves nickels.

Nice going on the silver!

The DeLeon is definitely one of my favorites. Glad you're doing well with yours.

I have never tried a deleon , sure sounds like a good machine.

Yes, it is. The display is just a bonus. The strong points are the audio and the depth. It sure seems to love the silver!!

I think if the new Cazador was a Deleon with GB, it would be deserve to be their best seller!! Luckily, the Deleon is GB'd perfectly for my soil so it's not an issue.

Great news Dan B, silver is always good to find.

The Deleon works well in the mild soil of Kansas, my wife just loves it. She bought it a couple of years ago.

I get to use it when she is busy doing other things. We just got a much needed 2" of rain in the drought stricken plains, the Deleon is coming out to play!!!

I'm glad to hear you finding Silver with it! It's a shame that most YouTube videos about the Deleon are by foreigners doing air/ground tests. I wish there were more LIVE digs!
This guy thinks alike...

Dam! Just when I thought a Tejon would satisfy the rest of needs, I read this! I need to check local laws to make sure there is no limit on the number of Tesoro's you can own in our area.

The wife is the local law around here with regard to the number of detectors. She thinks 4 is too many, but then again, she doesn't get this metal detecting thing at all. She's impressed (sometimes) with the things I find, but that lasts about 2 seconds. Then she's back to thinking it's ridiculous to dig in the dirt looking for things.

If I had to thin the heard (which I probably do), I would keep the Deleon and the Tejon. All my bases, with the exception of water hunting, are covered. The Deleon will cover coins and rings, and the Tejon will take care of relic hunting. I could easily part with the Outlaw and probably the Vaquero too. Maybe I should look into trading one of them for a Tiger Shark? Then I'd really be all set!! :clapping:

How's it on Canadian clad?

I'd sure like to see it in action Dan(video)?

It rocks on Canadian coins. I don't tend to find a lot of very modern clad (the kind that rusts in a year), but everything else hits a 95. Lots of quarters, dimes, nickles, copper pennies, and zincs if you want them. Loonies and toonies sound good too. If you find a couple of loonies together, near the surface, you might get tricked into thinking it's can slaw. But watch the graph. The graph is the key, not so much the number.

I may not be digging the more modern stuff mainly because my locations are older. Not a lot of foot traffic anymore in these obscure little hidden parks.

I found a musket ball, presumably from the war of 1812, last night. Second one I've found. The Deleon sounded great on that target.

Eventually I want to get another Cortes and test them side by side. My gut feeling is that there is something different about the Deleon. Not sure what yet, but I like it a lot!!!

Hey Dan,

I have a Tiger Shark and can tell you it is one incredible detector. I also have a Silver uMax and a Tejon coming shortly. Next year I will add the Deleon.

I guess my wife is the law around here also, needless the say the Tejon will be delivered at work and not home!

Is the TID on the DeLeon very accurate? I have had so many TID screens constantly giving me false info.

The TID is pretty accurate on my Deleon. The key like Dan said is to watch the bar graph in conjunction with the TID. The TID is very sensitive and can jump around some. Any target ID machine is going to give you false readings on targets that are in close proximity to other targets so I just use it as a reference or to cherry pick The Deleon does separate really well though.

Great, this makes me want to get one. Lol

Hi Guy's

Anyone used a D D Widescan Coil on the Deleon ?

or is the spider stock coil the one to use.

You comments would be most welcome.

Les.
