DeLeon, Do Many of You Use it?

Hi Everyone, I wonder what any of you Tesoro fans think of this machine. I heard it is a great silver seeker. I just started using one and I must say that the display is much larger than I thought it would be and that is nice! At this point I kinda like it. Ok happy hunting to all and God Bless.

if it works for you, it isnt a dud!!!:) You might want to do a search for the word Deleon. We had a discussion about them and the Cortes not too long ago.

Check out this thread Why are the Cortes and DeLeon so unpopular?!

It had some good comments on the pluses and minuses of the Deleon/Cortes series.

i don't know why anyone did not answer you because i know there are a lot of deleon users out there.i do not have one but do have the cortes and i know they share the same circuit board.the cortes has a few more bells and whistles which i like the deleon has a bigger display readout.they are fairly deep.one of the best coin hunters around.hope this helps some.email me if i can help more.

Hey Squid, actually I'm a Tesoro dealer and just wanted to get something going here on the Tesoro forum. In my opinion Tesoro has a great lineup of detectors to choose from and the Golden uMax being my favorite. The DeLeon is a very nice detector and the display is clean and easy to view. Ok thanks for the responses and I love Tesoro and their warranty! God Bless all.

I used the Deleon for about two years as my main detector, its light, pinpoints well and simple to use. However, all coins read the same, it is awful for nickels and gold and not real deep in moderate ground because of it's preset ground balance. I purchased a Whites M6 exactly one year ago and it outshines the Deleon in every aspect except weight. It is deeper by far, has autotracking ground balance, has 7 tone ID and is fantistic for nickels and gold, and dosen't skip a beat when it comes to silver or clad coins. Now my Deleon is looking for a buyer. HH

Thanks for your opinion Bill and it is much appreciated. I have just started using the DeLeon and your right it is simple. Now I just need to get some time on it and see for myself what this Tesoro will do. I don't have any heavily mineralized ground here. It seems to be hot on pennies anyway. Thanks Bill and God Bless ya.
