Yeah, I know, yet another air test video. Bear with me on this, there is an actual point.
When I first got my Deleon a few weeks ago, I did a couple quick waves of some coins and the depth seemed very good, better than I expected. But when I set up my rig in the basement and did some air tests, the results were mediocre at best. My Compadre was pretty much on par. You can see the results in one of those videos I posted a week or so ago. My wireless router was nearby, I had a flourescent light fixture directly overhead, and I had my iPhone on me. All the worst offenders were nearby.
Today the weather was quite a bit warmer, so I moved my rig outside and tried again, without my phone, out of range of the wi-fi. There are some overhead wires nearby, but I couldn't do anything about that. The results were impressive. Check it out:

So my point is (besides that the Deleon is awesome) is that any air tests conducted in the house should be taken lightly. I certainly wouldn't base any purchase decision based off of an air test someone conducts in the house. Air tests themselves, by the very fact they are in the air, are not the greatest determination of a detector's performance in the real world. They are a good excuse for using your detector in the middle of winter!
