Delaware school hunting

New member
Went to several old elementary schools here on Eastern shore of Delaware. thought I could get some old coins. First was Nassua school, a old one room from the mid-1800s. Big disapointment. Nothing but can slaw not even a modern clad. Next was an early 1900s called Woodbridge elm. A way better place with $9.60 in clad and just missed a silver quarter by one year,1965.Strange not one coin on two very large playgrounds. Next last night Felton elm, Only completed a fourth of grounds but bagged $7.80 in clad again missed a silver quarter, another 1965. I am heading out again this evening to finish this school Wayne HH.

It's funny sometimes you think a place would be good to hunt and you don't find much. I done that myself a few times. I think they must of made a trillion 1965 Quarters. I find them all the time while hunting and also in my pocket change. It funny how you notice that once you start to looking for the silver ones.

I hunt schools in north Wilmington but have the best luck at sports fields. Most of the schools in this part of the state are not as old as some of yours.

Hang in there, You'll find the older ones when they are there to find.
