DEEPEST low frequency machine for coin hunting?

unluckylester

New member
I was wondering what are the BEST low frequency machine available for coin shooting? All replies are welcomed.
thanks,
Les

Unlucky indeed to be living in a State where they impose a $100 per kHz tax on metal detectors. Fortunately, buying over the Internet can fix that problem.

Meanwhile the Fisher 1266-X runs at a mere 4.8 kHz, is pretty darn hot on USA clad and silver, and you can probably pick one up used in good condition for $300 or so. Although long since out of production, it still has a fan club.

Of course there are too many factors involved to give a definitive answer to such as question. Location, conditions etc. That said, I do believe as far as a detector that seems to give the best performance on deep coins to more people that any other would be the E-Trac or CTX 3030.

The next best detector to the E-Trac and CTX3030 would be the X-Terra 705 with the 3kHz coil on it.

those minelabs will pull silver very deep if that's what your after, thee exploere se and Etracs do very well at this.

I have been running the new Blisstooll LTC64 V3 detector and as far I can tell it is by far the dippest detector I have ever use, I own an Etrac as well and some targets are so dip that the Etrac can't see them with the 15" WOT.
this Detector may not be marketed as a coin shooter but so far is all I have been hunting for at my over hunted local public parks.
Since I have been using it I have found some silver coins that the Etrac will only dream about reaching it's depths, I know this because I used the 2 detectors to test my targets and set my discrimination and discrimination depth correctly, ones I learn more how the discrimination works best I will not use the Etrac for testing my targets.
So If you want a detector that will hit a dime at 11+" and dig non ferrous targets as dip as 18 to 26" dip this is the detector that you need.
No numbers to confuse you just a solid tone and dig out the good stuff, break signal and leave it alone for the next to decide by a VDI number if will dig it or not.
Do you like to see the quality of discrimination of this BEAST? just look at this pictures, these are WA. State Tax tokens the size of a quarter. one is complete and the other has one nail drive through the hole in the center, I got those at different ocations but the one with the nail in it sound it off just like a normal coin, litle scrachy but it was solid tone at 9+" dip.
the other picture is the silver I found for this pass week.
Just my 2 cents.
I'm not a dealer or nothing like that, just one more like you all trying to find what has been left behind because of the depth limitation of other machines.

You guys are helping out a lot. What frequency does the blisstool run at? The minelabs are nice, but expensive. My silver is deep and i am in red clay iron rich soil. Some time ago people started to care what their lawns looked like. so a lot of the land i hunt is covered with a few inches of top soil too. Not to mention the additions of septic tanks. If i want the silver i need lower frequency. I am currently using the AT GOLD. I am hitting indian heads at 9 to 10 inches but those are faint signals. 5 of them so far. 3 stacked in one hole actually! That was really cool. I found one silver dime, a 46 rosie at 6 inches. I just won $400, so i am looking to invest. I haven't heard too much about blisstool. ???? Maybe i will save up for a ctx3030. I would love to hear a lot more if some have both.
Thanks,
Les

If you want deep..................really deep...............without going deep into debt...............get a Fisher 1270x. They are being phased out and you can get a new one at under $500.00 !! I just got one recently , it makes the 1266x look like a beginer model. It has seperate iron disc as well..................this one is a keeper!!! Do yourself a favour and look into it.
