Has anyone got information about this detector?
There is a forum here on Findmall but says nothing with
regards to comparasions between it and the AT Gold.

I've got a Vista Gold that became totally inoperative after only 3 weeks of testing/use......contacted the maker DeepTech in Bulgaria several times to obtain the part that would fix the problem........part not available to costumers .....in other words no after sales costumer service!

I would go with Garrett they can be contacted and got real customer service.

As for comparison between the two units..........the AT Gold is much better value for money.

There's nothing wrong with the vista gold and Ivan isn't telling you the whole story either, its pretty bad when you send a email to the wrong manufacturer to begin with and will tell you this too he's the only one with this supposed prob, if your a relic hunter looking for smaller coins in iron infestation the deus is its only match and the trouble is also people think this a park machine too its not its site specific so make the right choice and don't blame the machine and i'd challenge any others machines listed in iron infested area's with the small coils!

I got more response by contacting Detech than by contacting DeepTech and it certainly got the ball rolling and blood pressure rising in some individuals........but so do short temper, diabetic, obesity and multiple personality disorder where disturbed people hide under different phony names.

In reality I contact Detech every time I purchase one of their "Ultimate" coils......... they just do not have a service or want to answer questions regarding DeepTech, which is understandable :) .......even DeepTech do not provide this.

A detector that do not work just do not work, no matter what brand it is ......difference is honourable manufacturers provide a repair service; at lest within the warranty period.

My Vista Gold worked well for the 3 short weeks it was working, but that do not make up for lack of parts and after sales back-up service and for that reason to me it's Not value for money.....Period!

We can agree on one thing the Vista Gold is site specific......... and so I would rather use an AT-Gold or my CSI-Pro as they have far more versatility.

Here we go again with the brand bashing. AMCJavelin is CORRECT.

Let's get the facts straight about YOUR specific problem - that were well defined on a different forum:

1. There is NO distributor in AUS for the DeepTech. This is true. You bought DIRECT from the manufacturer.
2. There IS a distributor here in the USA for the DeepTech. Anyone that buys in the USA gets customer service from us. Whether a loaner unit when being repaired or a replacement if needed. So far only 1 unit had a minor issue out of over 100 units sold.
3. You had some sort of problem with your machine and YOU contacted the WRONG manufacturer about it. You contacted Detech when you should have contacted DeepTech.
4. You received NO response from Detech (now why would they respond when you were asking about another manufacturer's product) and after a period of time you went on the forums and started to bash DeepTech for never responding to your issue.
5. As soon as DeepTech found out about the problem (from your online post) they responded that they would service your machine if you would send it to them.
6. You claim that you smashed the machine out of frustration that the manufacturer never contacted you when if fact you screwed up and never contacted the correct manufacturer in the first place.
7. Once contacted by DeepTech you did not want to send back your machine for service because you said you smashed it, however you asked them to send you a new board or head for you to make the repair and they don't do it that way.

Ivanll - It's time for you to move on...

Robert23 it has worked very well for me I don't know what vid you saw but for the money and the new small coil the vista gold is the way to go now the others don't have a boost mode either nor is there another machine with 25khz and I guarantee in boost plus slow mode using the the same size coil here the vista gold will be deeper, now granted your not going to have the disc level of the other machines because this runs on the principal of ferrous and non ferrous set up so this would not be ideal for a park unless you have a trained ear, can be done but you got to be willing to take the good with the bad in digging and this is why this machine is getting a bad rap because people are not telling whole thing about it and just as soon as I can afford another I will have another vista gold, relics, old sites, iron infested areas, micro jewely, dry beach, pasture land, don't let others knock it until you try it for yourself

It has nothing to do with brand bashing, my Vista Gold worked well while it was working, it just had a short life.
As usual you got it selfishly wrong, if you had read it right you would have seen I contacted DeepTech by email twice before putting up the post where I contacted Detech.........it seem to be the only way to get the ball rolling.
When eventually getting in contact with Deeptech, it lead to nowhere.
Rosi did advise to contact you at extreme detecting, she also said she would relay my emails to you, if she did you would know the answer to why I do not trust you and will have nothing to do with you!

I could have sold my Vista Gold on eBay with an excuse, like you did with a Desert Gold......but I didn't it a matter of integrity and decency.

Still got and use my Blisstool and that unit definitely was not purchased because of some artistic promo video from your side.......... to the contrary.

I, too have used the Vista Gold and find it to be the best detector in nail infested areas I've ever used. Have been using it in a ghost town area this past winter and spring and have done very well with it. Eight coins fond dating prior to 1900. Very fast with a high pitched response to non ferrous items in contrast to a low pitch for iron/nails. One feature I love is you can turn down the volume of the ferrous responses, giving you a super contrast when you hear the non ferrous, while not being over loaded with the multiple ferrous signals. Really helpful. Has excellent depth, is light weight, easy to ground balance and Barry from Extreme Detecting is helpful and great to work with. I'm a fan.

Now why would we, here in the USA, get involved with you in AUS?
We are not the manufacturer and did not sell you the machine...makes no sense...

How about we just let it go...you had it, it worked, you say it broke..how...who knows, you did not want to send it back to the manufacturer for repair...enough said.

Thanks Jimmy for an honest opinion from a guy who actually uses the machine!!

Indeed, why ?....you will have to ash Rosi.

Perhaps she thought that an Importer/Distributor of DeepTech product closer to Australia would be trustworthy with enough integrity to be a decent and polite representative.

Anyone can make a mistake.

I got the truck loaded for a Gold prospecting trip way out in the bush, would like to invite you along for some nice :ausflag: campfire bush tucker, chats and good company.
