was doing more testing today when i tried out this particular set of pliars, they would amediately disc out then i would try putting a coin in back of it still would'nt pick it up then tried in front still nothing and it didn't matter what coin i used but yet i took that 4" chisel i showed in the video i made and would pick up the dime so anyone got any idea's on whats going on here, and this is just this particular type of pliars there made in china, is it possible that the steel used to make these pliars is that full of junk or what? any thoughts on this would be good!

Jav i have seen this before and NASA Tom explained it, I forgot exactly the how or what was going on.
It is not a trick but the way the 2 metals are touching together the detector is seeing the targets.
I know being snowed in , we have plenty of indoor time.
A test i like to use is ,put a coin on the ground then place a roll over tape on top as a spacer
then place a rusty nail over that. The more space with nail on top , the stronger the nail signal
and weaker the coin signal. The joy of masking.:rage:

I tried this on 3 machines .
1st detector 8in and 5in coil failed not even a sniff. [concentric]
2nd detector 11 in DD coil fail 5in DD coil hit from left to right .
3rd unit 11 DD coil hit left to right as did 5in DD coil

None would hit if swing the length of the nail
and the units that failed would not hit on any settings.

did some more testing today but with the 2 tones even though they call it all metal mode you can still run disc with the tones if all of a sudden your getting a nice high tone then play with the disc then as your thumbing through goes back to low tone which is iron and experimented with a place of iron tone in the ground then put a coin on top of the ground then both tones were coming together and the coin winning out and that when you turn the sensitivity up it does have a slight threshold simalar to the fisher 1270 the ground balancing is aboutthe easiest of any machine i've had once the tone go's away then its balanced! come on global warming melt the snow!
