Deep targets or a bunch of junk

redsumit

New member
i gots me a ? how do u specifically tell when its a deep coin or just junk iron in the ground? i know what a good target sounds like but i get caught up in a bunch of sounds that i think might be a good target deep down, and usually end up diggin nothing when i thought it was a good target

What i have found with explorers is that if the signal sounds junky then that is exactly what the target is. more than 99% of the time it will be trash if it sounds trashy. I have stopped digging junky sounding signals these days. I can tell trash from cash mostly by the smooth sound of a coin or ring. The only targets i can not tell what they are, are the bottletop and pulltab. But i still have a good clue before i dig just what is about to come out of the ground in 80% of digs i can predict what the target is.
