deep silver

i have been hunting the fair grounds and was an ex ccc camp.
lots of clad but no silver. i am hard of hearing especially high frequencies, wondering if deep silver has a higher frequency than shallow silver? am using bruce's setting

My experience is that the deep silver coins will have a high pitch and may even give something of a broken chattering signal, but the signal will be consistant in more than one direction...If not sure about a signal...............dig it.....Someone else will probably add some insight to this topic..

John ... skip ahead to the 5:00 mark. This is what a silver half-dollar sounds like at about 10 inches. Also take a look at the digital numbers and smartfind cursor placement. TwoRivers is right .. and ultimately the tone (sound) is your best weapon.
