deep musketball!

I was out today and got a musketball at eleven and three quater inches on pasture,I'm impressed!,the clear signals on this machine are a pleasure, also it's ability to find in iorn is a big surprise for me,with a very slow sweep it even beats my Compass coinscanner, never thought I'd say that about a multi frequency Minelab!,at the moment I would not swop this machine for any other.

What are your thoughts on hunting on mineralised ground,I find auto sensitivity does very well and when I switch to manual to check the signal the signal usually sound no better or even worse, what do you all think?

Congrats on the old lead ammo.

If your signal gets worse in manual, then manual was probably set wrong.
Could have been too high or low either one.

Next time play with manual before you dig to see if you can improve the signal.

The secret to deep targets is going real slow, manual sensitivity set as high as you can and still have a stable detector. Most are finding around the 11-12 o'clock position seems to work the best. Many new to the Sovereign may not see a difference in manual or auto, but once you know the Sovereign you will see that auto will just give a smooth threshold on those weak and deep signals that you would get in manual.
