Deep Gold

Treasure Mike

New member
Went to a baseball field and noticed that the grass was very- Very! green. Looks as though the parks department worked overtime watering this field. The ground was still a little wet at 4 pm today. After about 20 minutes and .95 cents later I got a solid 36 hit on my MXT with the Bigfoot coil. I dug down between 5 and 6 inches to retrieve the target that looked like a bottle cap when I took it out of the hole. It was full of dirt and has a scalloped edge like a bottle cap. But then I pop the dirt out of the middle and see it's a ring. This is probably the deepest ring I have recovered using this coil. Most rings I have dug are usually two inches deep or less. (The Bigfoot coil is not a depth monster) The ring is 14K, weighs 6.4 grams, and is a size 9.5. Thanks for looking! Mike

How cool. And it's so pretty also. What a wonderful design on it. Great detecting and with it being so heavy, that's why you got a good hit on it with the Big Foot coil. Good moisture helps also. Great going Mike!

Nice Find ! ! !
I think you will find a little deeper though than five or six inches w/ Bigfoot Coil
My Bigfoot is Killer Fast to work on fields 30yrs or younger. Sucks the goodies right out of the ground.
Both M6 & MXT use the same circuitry, except function for prospecting w/M6 is NA......
And Yes, I use the M6 and pull my share of jewelry.;)

Thatsa really nice find good thing you dig those lower VDI s the big foot sounds like a real good coil it would take a long time to cover that whith the 5.3

That "Meter" you are referring to is a Mizar Electronic gold tester. The more lights that light up, the higher the karat value of the item being tested. Comes in handy if the article you find is not marked and you want to know if it is gold or not. I have tested a few supposed "Gold" chains that were marked 14K and they tested "Not Gold". It's a good tool to weed out the fake stuff we find on occasion. Mike
