I know there are always questions on what the ID is for gold. Well today I was digging a lot of beaver-tail pulltabs and some were as deep as 10 inches. The ID jumps on these from the 50's down to iron, especially on the broken off curled up pieces. I got another signal just like that and was surprised to see gold in the hole. It's old and it's gold; an early 1800's watch key! Once on the surface the ID settled on 52.
One thing the T2 SE has taught me is that the depth can be more important than the ID numbers. Listen closely for the deep signals, make sure you are directly over it by pinpointing. If it's definitely iron, pass it up, but if you're in doubt, dig it out!
