Missouri weather is proving to be very hit and miss this early spring. I took advantage of a "hit" day to hunt a Yankee campsite that has been pounded to death. Occasional shallow finds are still there, but most of the goodies are deep. Really deep. Persistence paid off, and I ended up with a handful of relics including three dropped .69 balls, a shot .58 minie, some shot assorted pistol bullets, a general services coat button, tent grommet, and misc. metal stuff. I had fun, and hope the weather warms so I can pound the depths some more.
