Deep Coil Question

Gonehunting

New member
I am getting an Etrac in about a week. I was wondering for really deep coins or mainly relics what is the deepest reaching coil that is made for the Etrac..
On a different not have pretty much decided the sunray x-5 for very trashy areas... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks...

Gonehunting, I would stick with the stock 11 inch pro coil for starters as it gets great depth. You might find you do not need another deep coil. I too just purchased the sun ray x-5 for a secondary coil for trashy areas. I have not used it as of yet because of all the snow here in northern Michigan. Good luck and HH.

Thanks I'm thinking of waiting on the bigger search coil. I do want to get a smaller trashy coil and I am hearing the x-5 is pretty much the best. I have heard different things about the other coils but have not heard one bad thing about the X-5...

I just got a 12x15 SEF, but I haven't had enough field test time to see if it truly goes deeper. With the stock coil I have pulled out large cents at 10". So I have to beat 10".

Once I beat 10" then I will give the 12x15 a thumbs up.
