Deep Big silver at the old site

Back to the old site that's produced IHs, Barber dimes, V nickels, 1913 Canadian quarter, and a sterling silver spoon bowl. This time out produced a 1919S wheat, 2 1940 nickels, a dateless Buffalo nickel, a UMCCo 10ga shell, and the last hole I dug was a great signal that I thought would be a silver quarter or half. Dug an 8" deep plug and the signal was still in the hole. Yes! It's deep and old, whatever it is. Took out another 4" and noticed something silver jutting up through the top of the plug. Pulled on it and it just kept coming. It came out of the plug all shiny and pretty except for a knick where I obviously whacked it with my digger. That's what happens when you find 7" of silver.

That is awesome. I am glad you told the story of what it took to dig it out. Keep checking that site . You might end up with set of silverware. You found a spoon bowl an a knife. You definitely have a great site there. Congratulations.

That is one Large Hunk of Silver. Congratulations. Good job on being persistent.
