Decision time Explorer or X-terra 70 Electrical Interference

pb-to-au

Ok it is time to make the decision and take advantage of any Minelab Christmas giveaways. Any thought on X-Terra 70 vs the new Explorer, especially in regards to Electrical interference since this machine will be used primarily in the cities and suburbs? I have an Excaliber and a cz-20 for the beach and the outback, but both suck in the parks and construction areas around the built up areas. The Excaliber is useless because of interference, and the cz-20 is badly affected as well. I have been a Beach and Water hunter for the last few years and have not even wanted to go inland but I got the bug again.Any thought on which machine is less likely to have interference problems? I heard that the X-terra was virtually immune to that but I don't really believe it! How have you found the Explorer to be in the burbs and construction bulldozed areas loaded with junk?

It's not immune to RF but a far cry better than the Explorer in the city. I just wish they would release some small X-Terra coils for cherry picking. Just about any kind of coil you can imagine is available for the Explorer already so keep that in mind.
Still though, the X-Terra 70 is a very good performer overall.
Since the new SE arrived on the scene there's plenty of excellent deals to be had on used Explorer packages .... makes for a hard decision don't it ? :look:
The Explorer with a small 5" or the 7 & 3/4" is killer in parks, playgrounds etc. but remember it doesn't like constantly disturbed soil for the most part.
