I'm now at the 99% certain level that a Vision is in my future, but I'm not so sure about the cordless headphones.
First, there's the cost, which raises the package price by over 10%. Second, and here's part of my question, I see them as a "frill" rather than a necessity for using the detector. I've never been hugely inconvenienced by the cord on the White's phones I'm using now, so I need to ask, do they do anything to enhance the performance of the overall package, or are they more a convenience item?
My current thinking is to buy the Vision without the headphone option, and at some point down the road, I can buy the cordless headphones if I wish. There are two prices, but I presume (second question) they are the same detectors, just with or without headphones. Is that correct?
I'd be very interested in hearing from those who have purchased the cordless headphones. Not whether you have regrets or not, because at this point, no one is going to say, "yeah, I spent too much on something I don't like." That would be a rare person. Instead, I want to know if you have any advice after seeing what I've written above, am I on the right track for me, or is there something I am missing and need to consider.
Thank you,
Mike
