I decided that I must have missed some fresh drops from the non-mariners race last week, guess not.:( The drops must be out in deeper water because a friend of ours was in the race and lost the nice underwater camera she had bought 2 days before the race. This week she was down at Mangrove Bay with her scuba gear and found over 40 pairs of sunglasses in two dives, but no camera.:( Enterprising girl that she is, karen sold the expensive pairs at $50 a pop and gave away the rest; she bought herself a replacement camera with the proceeds and still has money in pocket.:super:
Anyways, here's the Nut, such as it is.

I can't decide if this is a brass plated fitting or a junker ring.
No markings and the most beat up piece I've found.

The weather is pretty lousy here today so I'll be lucky to get out today, maybe tomorrow.

Cheers,

What kind of stones are in that silver ring BDA? That other ring is a junker looks like it was plated and copper underneith... I was telling my hunting partner this year might be lousy for fresh drops.. no-one going in the water this year.. We have had a cool spring and summer and only 1 week of hot weather :(

No stones in the silver ring Craig, imagine my surprise when I put the electrolysis to that ring and there were no stones ( I had expected diamond chips or at least CZ's - NADA )
If it is a junker ring then it is my first. It's awfully small mind you, must be a kid's ring, unless it's a bushing.
Did a little better this evening but not much!

Cheers,
