So my wife my daughter and my self went to a park over the weekend and did a little detecting... after digging up a bunch of clad coins and some junk i came across this piece.. anyone know anything about it?

Nice find! Looks like some pre-colonial silver coin made into a pendant with gold dolphin enclosure. Is it real? I dunno. :wiggle:
I would definitely get it checked out if I were you. Either use your own test kit, or take it to get appraised.
Best of luck to ya! I hope it's real.
Happy Hunting! :)

got to be pretty popular in that motif in the early and mid 90's...just a guess on my part, nice find!

Bought one like that for my wife at the McLarty Museum on the Treasure Coast just north of Vero Beach. It was a replica coin stamped on a piece of silver cut from a round bar of silver found on a plate Fleet wreck.
