Decent day for wheats and some indians

Sorry for no pictures, but today a friend and I went to an older abandoned house. Prior to this hunt i have only found 1 indian head since starting detecting and that was crusted beyond repair. In total today I found about 11 wheat pennies there, earliest of them being 1916, 1913, and 1911...and then 3 indian heads, one being 1889, second 1894, and the third has some piece of rust attached to it where the date is. The Etrac didn't get me any silver there unfortunately, but I'll definitely take it. I know if it was there i would of found it. I guess some places just might not have any

11 wheats and no silver...highly unusual. Could be masked by trash, or be located in an unexpected part of the yard(dont know if you covered it all). i found my barber in the middle of the grass of a large side yard at the 1880 house.

The place was pretty trashy, but also the ground may have been redone at one point in time. I found the indians in one certain area by the walkway leading to the porch and the wheat's were a little more scattered. In some spots they were pretty shallow and others pretty deep. I found one of the newer pennies at like 5 inches in one spot as well as some other clad. It wouldn't surprise me if some of the stuff is too deep and I got lucky in that one area

Congrats on the finds !

If it was me ...
I'd go back and hunt the area again ... ( with a small coil if possible ) - swinging very slowly - hunting the site from a few different angles - and listening very closely for deeper hits.

Good luck !
