December 7th, a day that will live in infamy .......Part one ........:cam:

today is a day that shouldn't go unnoticed.

On Dec. 7th, 1941 the Japanese attacked the US Naval base at Pearl Harbor Hawaii and began a war with the United States which they eventually lost.
I'm always reminded of Admiral Yamamoto's prescient quote at the time on learning of the success of the Japanese attack:

"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."


Here's some black and white photos of that day with a bit of color added to them, America was attack and her nose was bloody that day and simply put America said bull shit, you want us, you got us! Yamamoto was right, thus America entered WW2 and ended it on two fronts, I tip my cap to those great vets that not only fought and died in that World War but to those on Dec 7th who woke up to a sneak attack and died in their beds.
