DEAR SANTA . . . . . . .

What's on your Santa's List?

I'm want a good look at the mysterious Fisher Detector, The Nokta Impact, and whatever else might be hovering in the wings of next years detecting stage.

I wish Santa would bring me a replacement for the broken coil on my DetectorPro Headhunter Pulse detector. They are no longer available from DetectorPro and apparently are as elusive as Unicorns.

Probably not for christmas as i hate spending top prices especially when you could possibly buy the same item half price in the new years sales albeit detectors wont, but detecting related clothing etc could well be !! but for me will be looking at a new detecting truck, not in a hurry by any means but the right one comes along then it could well have my name on it.

I want Santa to invent a detector that bridges the gap between the fast target separators and the slow deep identifiers.

I have my eye on the Rutus Alter 71. The feature set on that one really floats my boat. Selectable frequency from 4.4 to 18.4 kHz in steps of 0.2 kHz. The ability to see true phase response, selective notch and tone id, with visual signal time delay response, and so much more. I drool every time I read the manual.

I put back some cash for my major detector purchase next year and so far the Rutus Alter71 has dibbs on it. If something doesn't knock it off the pedestal I put it on by, say, May or early June, then I'll be swinging and learning one of these little powerhouses.

Sounds awesome- except for the 6 hour battery life. Would have to be a heck of an old site!

Hi Slingshot, The Rutus Alter 71 battery life is determined by operating frequency and I think the 6 hours thing is a translation issue that will clear up in week or two. But time will tell. Nontheless battery life is a non issue on units using AA's in today world of rechargables.

The Deep Tech Warrior has my attention at the moment.

I wish Fisher would at least let out some info on how far along this new tech is. I give kudos to Nokta/Makro for being up front on what they are working on.

I'd like a new hybrid... A mixture of. The old bounty hunter mini red baron... The teknetics 8500b. The Eagle sl two '90 .. A.d the Garret AT Pro. ! Lol! I know, i know, i must be getting old.......

anyone get the Rutus Alter 71 yet, and if so, what do you think of it? Sounds like a very interesting detector.
