De verses Je modes

Did some test between the Je and De mode.
Found the Je mode could acquire more depth on small gold jewelry.
The only way to acquire the same signal in De mode was to run with discrimination at 0 and sensitivity wide open. I would like to know a little more about the differences and maybe what goes on when the machine is in Je and De modes.

Spend some time at Dankowski's forums - it will help a ton.

I can't remember the values but when you leave certain ranges in the discrimination you change filters to an enhanced mode either idential or very similiar to JE and that would explain the better resolution.

In de, I think the higher gains kicks in above 19 and below 6. Someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong. HH jim tn
