De tuning the Bullseye pin pointer

You can get 2 more inches out of it by placing a metal against it till it quiets down then probe.
Similar to another brands method.
 
I did this awhile back and it does make the pinpointer go deeper.it was good to see someone make this point so others will know.
 
I don't understand what it is your doing to get the extra depth. Please explain further. I have a Bullseye II.
 
there is a video on you tube I think showing the same method with a Garrett Pro Pointer.
look that video up.
basically you just hold a screwdriver or anything metal mass inline with the pin pointer and slide it back 'till it stops sounding off.
hold it there and use the 2 together to pin point at greater distance.
 
Now if only they would incorporate a metal slider on the pointer... Hows that for an idea I'll take 10%
