dd coils for xlt

digky

New member
the xlt is still selling well yet whites has no plans for a large dd the after market wont risk it on a detector that might be discontinued shame on you whites you should inform people that are buying xlts there coil options are limited i would pay lots of money for a good 10 or 14 dd id have to have both just venting

Even though the XLT has been around forever and still selling well wouldn't be surprised if a new version is in the works and may be the answer to additional acc/ coils not being made..I would think a heavy larger coil would spoil which surely is one of the best ergonomic units out there which may be another answer..as a new larger coil may make it nose heavy and no sensible way to body mount an XLT..
Might look into upgrading to a DFX as they have mucho acc. coils...

coil options for the xlt has been depressing me for yrs, thought that eventually they would have came out with a 12" coil that could
give 2or3 more inches of depth, while keeping the same trustworthyness on sens.and disc. of at least the 9.5 coil.
pulltab,if my memory is correct i think one of the small coils is a dd coil,i don't remember if its made by whites, or other.

i have the small dd 3x6 its good in heave trash but depth is bad 3 maybe 4inch also have the 12 hotshot its to unstable for most yards and tends to pick up targets 3 or 4 inches out in front this makes the tones sound good when you get over the target its shallow trash if you turn it down you lose depth a might as well use your 9.5 a spot were targets are few is best for the 12 i haven't got to use it much

ya thats what i was told about the hot shot coil ,that they have nothing to offer the xlt no depth gain over the 9.5 and unstable,so i didn't bother with them
