DD COIL for Spectra

i was wondering also about the dd coil that comes with the spectra. i an article where you should make sure when you get coils that they are markd with a v . i guess these where optimized for the v3. my spectra v3 has a vn then the number. the 5.3 coil i just recieved is marked with just a v. is it possible that the vn is not optimized for the machine and could be 1 of the older coils? just wondering.
