DD 3 kHz coil for salt water beach hunting

New member
Grettings y'all. I'm about to purchase a Minelab X-terra 705.
I mostly do salt water beach hunting.
According to Digger, low freqs are best for high targets such as silver.
High freqs are best for low targets, such as gold.
Following this, wouldnt a 3 kHz Coil be best for finding coins and silver on the beach?
Also, it would probably be safer to go with a CoilTek water proof coil, right?
Thank you and happy hunting.
Kev in Ipswich Mass.
:beers:
