Looks like a pause in the MXT world. Ive never used the 1400 dd. It could be that the coil is seeing more ground in a highly mineralized area than the stock coil, or you are in an area of high trash. That would cause the ground reading to fluctuate quite a bit. I would guess that you are also getting more depth than the stock coil which would mean depending on your settings that your detector would see more under the surface. The MXT will sometimes track out certain metals and recognize them as the ground you are hunting which can raise the ground reading number. This is just my guess as I have never used the 1400 dd.
