Daytona Bch Hotel info...

Going to Daytona in a couple of weeks. Was planning on staying at the Plaza Resort/Spa. Supposed to be recently re-done. Did some online research and people either rave about it or say it sucks in the worst way. Anyone from that area know anything about it?? Its at 600 N Atlantic Ave. Thanks

We could not use our balcony on the third floor because of the huge units that blasted next to it. Our view was the parking garage and a tiny piece of the ocean if you hung over and looked to the left.

The place is nice. I used the spa for a service and the breakfast buffet was adequate. High speed internet in a room adjacent to the lobby with two computers. Nice convenient store. Walking distance to restaurants and the "downtown" section.

The hunting conditions were poor. There is hardly any dry sand and the hard wet packed sand is hard to dig in. Had little luck other than the tokens that were planted for the hunt. Hope you have a great time and you can click on a link to see the hotel.

I know my wife was interested in the spa.

and the beach is only 30min from my house.

I stayed at the Best Western, however due to the activity on the beach I would probably stay at the Plaza next time or the Hilton.
