Daytona, 2 hr hunt

PaPa-Joe-Fla.

New member
Went to Daytona with my wife to pick up some supplies she needed, and stooped by to check on our boat. Just had a couple hours on the beach and I didn't do well with it, had a heck of a time finding a place to park near the beach.
Ramps closed because of a chick, no Max, not that kind of chick.
A small endangered bird ( that is what a volunteer told me) that took up residence with it's parents on the beach. They closed about 1/4 mile to beach traffic where they were hanging out. Had four people moving barricades as the chick moved up or down the beach.

THE LITTLE CHICK IS BETWEEN THE 2 BLACK COLORED BIRDS.

Like always I had a fun time, maybe gold next time.
Thanks for looking.

I'd say you did pretty good Joe! Looking at the slope of that beach I doubted you'd have found anything that day. That kind of beach here in Bermuda means one thing to me, get in the water and get in deep.

Good Hunting,

BDA:cool:

bda, I zig zaged the wet sand , went in waist to chest deep at times depending on waves, they came in over your head if you were at waist deep water. Worked the wash outs, but had to watch for drop offs and rip currents.

They have pulled over 200 people out of Daytona waters in the past week caught in rip currents.

It was just one of those bad days we have to deal with in this hobby.
What few coins I did find were very deep.
I'll get the gold next time.HH
