I wouldn't believe it if I had if I hadn't done it myself! Got an early start on the day got to the soccer fields about 8:00 am both me and the D were roaring to go. I was the only one at the fields and I hoped it stayed that way. The local weather guesser said it was supposed to be a warm one today so I figured I would hunt till I found a ring or I could no longer stand the heat. The grass was glistening with water guess the sprinklers had just shut off, woo hoo nice soft ground to dig in. The first couple of hours were pretty uneventful mostly clad and lots of can slaw. I worked the the areas where screamers and yellers of the soccer-lings sit to watch the games. There was plenty of clad to keep me busy I finished one area between two fields with a handful of clad and a pocketful sharp poky can slaw, it was getting warm so I took a short break before moving to the next area. After the break I decided to work around the goals before I moved on. I had brought a couple of thin gold rings for reference as to the signal I was searching for I took turns waving the DeLeon over both and made a mental note of the ID numbers one was solid low teens 12-14 the other a little larger ring solid high teens 16-19 having sniffed gold the D and I were ready to hunt. The first goal there was plenty clad and crud but I didn't mind it after the short rest. While still under the shadow of the second goal I got the signal I was looking for a solid 11-12 I probed the ground and felt my screwdriver hit something I peeled open the grass and saw a glint of gold I rescued the little ring from it's life in the dirt. It was a nice thin 10k gold ring with a green birthstone after I finished admiring the little beauty it was back to the task at hand. The DeLeon does not like to sit idle it just wants to gobble up ground and spit out goodies on the second swing the D sang out again once again a solid 11-12 on the ID screen I start thinking could it be? I start probing the soft ground and hit something open the grass and gold again! I pull the ring from mother earths grasp and I can't believe my eyes it is the exact same ring as the first but with yellow birthstone. What are the odds two exact same rings different stones about a foot apart. At this point I am about ready to call it a day but not the D it still wants to eat up ground. I hunted for a while longer and added more clad to the pocket about 1:00 pm I called it a day and a damn good one in my books it's been a while since my last two ring day Here's pictures of the rings thank you for reading this long tale of two rings Keep Swinging..
