Day before the snow storm....:rage:

It was Friday morning and was getting ready for work, looked out the kitchen window and saw the sun. I got to thinking of the snow that was to come and called in sick, Boy was that dumb.
I couldn't survive another weekend with all this snow, so hip hip hip and away I go!
It seemed it took forever to get out of the house, too many things went wrong, I felt it was telling me to stay home and be a mouse.
I got to the beach and it was almost the same, no sand moved, it never changed since winter came.
I Brought the Explorer XS with the Wot, that was it, no back up, I must be on pot
I hit the surf and to no avail, it falsed like crazy, Too heavy, Too heavy.......I was getting lazy.....
I took the cover off the coil, just to see if it would be the problem and YES!...it sounded so much better......so I adjusted the gain to 6, but left the deep on, and lifted the sens. to 25....I can deal with that I guess....falses were quiet while the targets sounded louder and it started to work.....coil kept moving out of position and I tightened the wingnut........better.....had to get a battery change when to truck and back out to surf and bam......coil was flopping ......darn plastic nut end broke.....went back to truck to find some electrical tape......nope had none.....so I cut the string off an extra nail apron and it work ok just had to drag coil around and periodically tap off sand building up........To make a long story even longer....just kidding......Heres the lame Booty............

For all I endured...yes it was well worth it.....I had a challenge the whole way out the door considering my truck was still covered with snow which froze over and was hard icy stuff.....and half buried in snow bank from last few snow storms.I use a company truck all week so I don't bother with it till I am ready to use it. on top of the pot hole roads with humungo frost heaves.....rough ride on the back roads.....and forgetting stuff in truck and making 3 trips back just to get it right..then the coil bolt broke.....I was not gonna let it force me to leave......do or die I was gonna get some hunting time in. It was not easy with coil not stable but I went slow and took my time like I had time.......I thought for sure the stupid earring was a gold target......not......oh well......I got out and now I am content staying home to deal with the added snow fall....The water was calm and I know if I had 4x4 I would be going out today again....just to see the sea churning and working the gold loose from her grips...
