day at the park

went to the park for the day free'd 5-q 8-d 33-n 40-p clad, got my firtst ring albeit worthless to most. but at the end of the day thaught id check out a spot before dark, and whamm 30 nickels in a 6x6 area!! never so excited over some nickels. great day , cant wait to go back there soon and clean up the rest. not bad for having the mxt for 11 days now, wish i got one a long time ago. HjackH
 
Hey man, that's a very nice haul. Congrats. My biggest AM was 2 years + ago (46 Q's in 4 hrs) and had my MXT for a year by then tho. See if you can get some pics on here for us to see. Our modirator loves to see nickels and so do most of us. HH and keep it up. Its the most fun I've had in years. WTG:clapping:
 
Thats a great amount coins . You must be really tuned in with your MXT the way you got it finding coins already . Congrats

THE MXT IS A LOT OF FUN, NEED TO GET A PINPOINTER SOON, TO SPEED UP RECOVERY, , LOOKS LIKE BAD WEATHER FOR 2 DAYS, THEN IM GOING RIGHT BACK TO THAT PARK, THANKS GUYS, I WATCHED A U TUBE VIDEO, ABOUT VDI'S OF COINS , THAT HELPED OUT ALOT. You're doing great! Nice amount of coins and I would be in nickel heaven if I found that many nickels in such a small spot. Sounds like you're on your way to the great treasure cove. Congrats on your first ring even though it's not a precious metal, at least it's a ring. HH, Nancy

THANKS YOU ALL, I WENT TO A FRIENDS HOUSE YEST AND MD HIS BASEMENT FLOOR FOUND MOSTLY TRASH BUT FOUND A COOL OLD CABINET HANDLE, AND 52 C CLAD FROM PART OF THE FRONT YARD, WAS TOO COLD TO FINISH IT UP, HIS HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1900, THERES GOT TO BE SOME SILVER THERE SOMEWHERES, IM THINKING UNDER THE FRONT PORCH WHICH IS AN NEWER ADDITION TO THE HOUSE, AND UNDER THE KITCHEN IN BACK WHICH IS ALSO AN ADDITION, I FIGURE CLOSER THE ORIGINAL ENTRYWAYS ? OH YEAH, I FOUND A TWENTY DOLLER BILL ALSO, SINCE HE OWED ME SOME MONEY I KEPT IT AS HE TENDS TO FORGETAND NOT PAY BACK ALL HIS DEBTS. ITS GONNA BE HI OF 40 TODAY SO MIGHT GO TO THAT PARK AGAIN, I DONT THINK ANYONE HAS MD IT SINCE I FOUND ALL THOSE NICKELS, THERE IS SO MUCH GROUND TO COVER AND LOTS OF WOODS WHICH IS CLOSE TO THE I&M CANAL SO THERE IS MUCH POTENTIAL HH JACK :biggrin:
 
Hey ramblin.
I would bring a crow bar and tear out the porch. Best way to quickly access the area. Lol Those nickels really scream if they are on the surface too. Very nice haul on the Quarters, those dollars really add up with a nice haul of Quarters. EZ
