103 out yesterday so I decided to take the day off work. BOY did I have a blast!!! The most interesting thing that happened is an association park called the police on me. They didn't want me playing on the bottom of the lake. The officer and I had a wonderful talk. Public lake, public access. LOL needless to say, I stayed and enjoyed myself!! This is the 4th time people have complained about me on the bottom of the lakes!! People in million dollar homes think they can shove others around. Ohh well, they have nothing better to do with their time I guess.

Anyway back to the finds. What is AW SOME about this place is I have not even hit a quarter of the swim areas I have to play in. Crystal clear water and sand bottom with a few weeds here and there. Nothing I can't handle. I am in 2 ' 8 foot of water right now and haven't even hit most the drop off or have I been out to where they anchor the swim platforms!!

I did forget to mention on my last post that I did find 9 silver rings. I am still going crazy with my machine beeping on targets all the time. Can't seem to move more than an inch a lot of times and multiple targets in one hole. My 10" coil is having a fit BUT if I hear a high beep and it nulls out there is for sure a good target mixed with trash. Sometimes more than one.

74 house's, 28 nickels , 40 dimes , 49 quarters 7 brass bracelets, 3 brass religious medals, 4 brass hook and latch pins, 2 brass rings, 1 Cracker jack coin,

LOL I forgot you want the best stuff first!! Silly me!!

3 Indian cents 1887, 1898 1908 , 57 wheat cents, 5 buffalo nickels, 1 war nickel, 5 mercs, 2 silver roseys, 1 standing lib quarter, 6 Washington quarters, 5 silver rings, 4 silver bracelets, 2 silver religious medals. 2 10K class rings. 1937 woman's 1943 mans, 14K signet ring and 14K wedding band and 14K gold chain. The chain didn't make a sound. Digging another target and the chain was in the same hole!! Got to love that!!

22.9 grams of gold, 142.9 grams of silver or 5.25 oz.

Now for the interesting finds!!!

A 1922 Detroit Jitney driver license, Another derringer, looks and feels real, Last one I found was from the late 1800's and 7 shot. This looks like a 5 shot 22. A 1957 Detroit Tigers coin That has the games on it for that year. Its larger than a silver dollar and aluminum but it wonderful condition!! A super old lead profile of a mans face, A old brass pin in the shape of an elephant, an old toy motorcycle and car. And some kind of old medal golf thing, don't even know how to describe it.

A wonderful day to be in the water!! Stay tuned, day 3 is coming up sooner than this weekend I hope!!! I have a lot more ground to cover!!

Way to go Scuba ! I have the same problem with folk's here in my neck of the woods. I think that it is just jealousy on their part. They know you are finding things and want to know what you are getting. Save all the sharp objects such as tabs and fish hooks and show them that. You are doing them a service removing those things that could injure somebody. I always get some glass when I am out. I put those things on display on shore for the curious. Keep up the good work! HH Metalmiester

You have found a site that should keep producing
some great finds for a while Scuba. Continued
success... keep 'em coming! Gold Nuggets :wiggle:

wow that is awesome. sites that everyone dreams about. well the one thing about hookah and scuba diving, it get you to places that no one has every touch. keep up the awesome hunts and congrats

That's Great! Sounds like a dream come true. Keep at it, we want to see some pictures:cam: when you get the chance. HH

Awesome finds scubadetector!

You lucked out with the police today.;) Riparian rights in Michigan are quite a bit different on inland waterways than on our Great Lakes. On inland waterways the bottom belongs to the surrounding property owners (In a pie shape to the center of the water way on lakes, and to the center on rivers). As long as there is legal access the public is free to fish, dive, swim, paddle etc, but hunting is the exclusive right of the landowner, and technically the stuff on the bottom belongs to them. Luckily for us it's difficult to enforce. :clapping:.

Lots of interesting items comming out of that swimming area.
Maybe you'll find that cache those $$$ people hid in the water:laugh:

I know exactly what you are talking about with the wealthy lakefront homeowners. I hunt a lake in upstate NY where the rich people were able to get a law passed that prevents anyone from recreating or anchoring a boat within 200 feet of private property. The lakefront homeowners don't hesitate at all to call the lake patrol anytime they think someone is violating the 200' law. It's not good enough for them to have a multimillion dollar home right on the lake with a great view. They also have to prevent anyone less fortunate from enjoying the lake to the fullest. It's very frustrating because there are lots of potentially good spots that are now off limits to detecting.

Some of us have all the luck. If you need some help with all that loot, e-mail me and I'll be happy to assist you.
Good luck on your next visit!
TRIPLE-SSS

the funny part is that if you were boating on the lake no one would say a word to you just wave hello and keep going but becouse your doing something that might get you a little loot for your hard work thay don't like it(you might find the plug that drains there lake lol) show them all the junk you haul out of a lake scuba diving in the lake and see if there tone changes as doctors bills for cut feet or hands can add up quick

I would take that 200 foot law to court, they legally can't do that unless the entire lake is privately owned, the government owns everything up to the beach.
