Gulf Huntress and I were lathered with anticipation of the - tides that were on our tide chart. Well as you can see our anticipation was not in vain! Our journey began on mon. 20th from 4-11pm and we were hunting into a 927pm -0.6L, then on the 21st 7-11:15 pm into a 10:18p -0.8L. On the 21st the tide was so low that we were at times standing on the 3rd bar on wet sand. The 1st and 2nd bars were dry. Our final hunt was on wed 22nd hunting into a 11:10pm -0.8 Low and even though the low was equivalent to the previous day the water was much higher due to on shore winds stacking water toward the beach. Monday's highlights include the .925 cross, 10k fine "H" ring, possibly a bit wadded from scoop contact, but a beauty never-the-less. A nice 14k braclet with "BDS" embossed on the tag. Tuesday's highlights include the Fossil watch, belly button ring with nitro stones, Maltize cross pendant and the .925 flame ring. Wednesday momentum slowed for me, but Gulf Huntress gained where I faltered. The highlight of the treasure hunt was when someones cross charm bracelet came apart and I found 6 crosses in a row. Unfortunately they are ferrous. The rest of what you see is various ferrous hoops, junk jewelry and clad. Why do women put ferrous earrings in their ears anyway? Is that a good idea to put something in your ear that will rust? Anyway I am rambling, enjoy and Gulf Huntress will soon be posting her loot. We are going to change our pic location to help improve photo quality.
