I see Dave Johnson listed 5 different machines as his "favorite"(s) so the Omega was just one of 5 as he also listed the T2, Fisher F2 and new Goldbug and a Bounty Hunter. A little bit different than saying that the Omega is his favorite detector, period.

The best (FAVORITE) detector is the one that works best (performs) for ME in the areas I hunt & for MY hunting style.----Not someone hundreds or a thousand miles away in possibly an entirely different hunt environment.-----Had to say that, there's SO many variables in this fine hobby.-----Incidentally, I do own, use & like the Omega but then I've got a couple of others that are MY "favorites" also. ----------Del

Since I don't read his so called "essays", I didn't see that it said, "of the products we manufacture".......
But even so, the main point stands. That, I, (like most intelligent people in the hobby) don't have to put any stock into some "favorite list" of detectors from the guy who actually makes the damn things. That's an interesting marketing angle for those units though........

Hell, you'd have the prototype unit sent to you for the field test on classifieds an hour after Fed Ex leaves......

Mr. Ladd , it is too bad that all you do is come on this forum to bad mouth people. You must be a very unhappy individual!. I do wonder why your name is not on here any longer as the moderater, but I think I understand.. Why dont you try to be a better person and not bad mouth people so much. Just makes you show your true colors as most know by now how you really are. If you are still one of Fishers testers they would not be too proud of you you conduct yourself. You always seem to attack me for buying and selling. Well it helps guys like your buddy Mike Scott have a paycheck and some guys get cheaper detectors to try for the testing Hoping the best for you and yours. HH.

I loved the CZ3 but out grew it, it was bad in iron and slow but it was deep then I got the F75 and started to learn a lot about sound and tones then the LTD took it up a few notches but I didn't have a good backup got the omega 8000 and am happy with both detectors and like to trade off and don't feel the 8000 missed anything.

The "badmouthing" & attacking part that is. See the reason I'm letting you have it is your constant talking about me behind my back at the Dumpo, & other forums that I'm supposedly "banned" at. You assumed because I'm "banned" it's your safe haven & you can say what you want about me & I won't see it & can't respond......but that's where your wrong. I have alotta minions that will copy & paste things & send them to me if they see my names used......either that, or I just go into any banned forum I want with another ISP & read along. But, usually I don't bother with all that 'cause those other forums are not worth the read anyhow being full of people like yourself & worthless posts like yours. Often you just badmouthed "BL", but everyone knew exactly who your were refering to in a Fisher forum. So, since I wasn't able to respond to you & the other haters at the Dumpo under my real name, then consider this my response to you "Mr. Try & Sell" & cut the "boo hoo- poor me" act......
