On the way home from work this afternoon I was driving down the street and a fat guy in a faded red and green checkered robe with a cigar in his mouth came out of a side street in a motorized wheelchair and almost hit me. He was going so fast he almost turned over and when he straightened up he headed down the street in front of me. He was weaving all over the street and at one point ran off the pavement and came very close to running in a five foot deep drainage ditch. I had hit my brakes to keep from hitting him so by the time I got over being amazed he was almost a block ahead of me, I speeded up and when we got about the same speed my speedometer was showing 33. He turned into a driveway a couple of blocks further along and stopped. The guy in the chair was my age or older, at least he looked to be, so it wasn't a youngster showing off. The wheelchair had real big tires on the back but I surely didn't know they made any that would go that fast.

and probably should have got a ticket! I had I guy when I was tending bar named Robert who would zip right in the Arlington Hotel and drink Coors Lite.
We'd have to pour it in a cup and he would drink it through a straw......and you know what THAT does!
He always managed to motor home until the day he died; a few years later.
