10/22/21 - If you are experienced you should get it. Purchase equinox 2.5 years ago and usually find $10 bucks per week. Coin finds have slowed due to my buddy who is disables and is a dime/quarter hoarder. This will freshen up things for you.
First zone to 11, second 12-13, third 14-about 22, fourth 23-26 (tone and volume pop here), firth 27 on up. Dimes will sometime have the quarter high tone which is helpful. Nickles have a higher volume and the 11 and 14 are bookends that help identify more of them. Volume is lower up to 11 and 14-22 but tone increases (to your liking). Third zone has 22 which is often a bottle cap )(USA East Coast)) and pitch/vol is to your liking. All across pitches increase but as I said,, nickels have a higher volume. I often reject up to 10 for good reason (aluminum) and reject 15 through 21 to drop out zinks. That is basically what I wanted to covey. It's a new feel. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK FOR COIN shooting.
A little extra - I sometime go to 50 tone to open things up but 5 tone works good for coins. I also use all metal to open up discrimination when I am feeling up to it. I also use the background tone to listen for the increased activity, increase in EMI, and for when ground tracking runs away (not often). When signals increase I sometimes I go with with 50/all metal to get more information. Often, when its trashy and the area was hit, I will use up to 8 recovery but usually 4/5/6 for better ID's and coverage.
