We hit the beach north of the main congestion on Hollwood Beach but still south of the Dania Beach Pier. My wife with her White's M6 worked the dry sand mostly while I did U turns in the surf with the PI moving south. I started hitting pennies. In fact, it was only pennies. After 17 pennies for me and 4 or 5 for my wife. I actually walked round the trash bins until I hit some trash to make sure my machine was working correctly. It was not a coin spill; the pennies were several feet if not several yards apart. But then I realized something; the pennies were recent drops as none were too discolored. Could it be someone is tossing pennies along the surf? - What better way to exhaust someone and keep them from moving south into the tourist area I thought. I would say I walked about 1,000 feet. Any thoughts?
