Dang Squirrels :(

Royal

Well-known member
there are just too many squirrels around here considering the price of sunflower seeds so I decided to catch them and take them for a ride.

So far this week I have caught 11 and relocated the little suckers.

I looked out this morning, I forgot to take the live trap in and there was another black squirrel. Dang it, I didn't want to take any more out but I got lucky. This is a special little squirrel. It has white stripes! Dang Skunk.

Everything turned out well though. I took the little guy for a ride over to the nature center and he waddled off.

remember this?? :D:

Also, do you have the squirrel launcher video?

I was lucky enough to have a buddy tell me how to release them from a live trap. I would have probably shot the thing if I had not.

that were getting in his shop and eating his farm cats food.he would haul them to the river bottoms and release them there.he said he clubbed one.he found a skunk in his live trap and DIDN'T escape unscathed, think he took a direct hit:).

The white-striped one probably just inherited your "smell genes".

This variety doesn't have the fancy tails you're used to on the continent; you'd probably just call the RATS! The date palms are in full fruit right now so the Rat population is exploding. My evening walk with the dog is to the tune of date pits falling through the palm fronds as hundreds of rat spit out the pits. Rat poison is every where but never enough to wipe out the population of squirrels without the fancy tails.

Cheers,

Eric

Around here I call them black and white striped critters " Racing Kitty's" .....there is always some fool that thinks their SUV's and BMW's and such have the right of way and as much as I hate to see needless death or hurt to any critter I equate the passing of a Racing Kitty on the road as the small dose of reality to these loser drivers ...JMHO

I live in the middle of town, in an area known as the Garden District-the oldest part of Lake Charles. They kept getting into my attic so I decided to "relocate" them. Making sure the tree trunk or a very large limb is behind them, I use an FN-FAL in 7.62 NATO [.308 Winchester.] All I find is the head and tail-the body is "relocated" to OZ, or the Twilight Zone.
End of problem.
