It snowed, and I did my first snow hunt today. Very comfortable....a few degrees below zero. Had to wipe the snow off the screen of the AT Gold every so often, but it's water proof, snow proof and also cold proof. But.....I feel sorry for the poor fellow who is tenting it. The valleys in Edmonton may be rent-free for sleeping, but "YIKES".... when that minus 30 shows up, better dress warm!

Ha! My first coin, which ended up being my oldest, which was in the 1970's. Oh well, it's always about the hunt, not necessarily what you find. :)

I did manage to get some interesting finds....not to mention some great fresh air and some exercise.

Here's the finds cleaned up with a little more information about them. The REM-UMC 12 gauge shotgun shell dates From 1911 to 1934.

Great finds!! The shotgun shells always fool me too. I have dug some nice rings in the same readings shotgun shells I.D. Your absolutely weight, no matter what you dig, its always a good time!! I try to use my AT Gold everyday. Good hunting to everyone!!!

I hear you John, we got a bunch if snow today too. I would have gone out for a bit today, only minus 2 or 3 degrees, but that darn prairie wind kept me in the house.

Thanks for that information you sent my way earlier today...

Well, you didn't get skunked! I've come pretty close a few times, but sometimes stubbornness is an assett (I ain't leavin' 'till I get at least one coin!). I hope that poor fellow in the tent has at least 3 dogs!

I have gotten soaking wet in the rain trying to get at least one good find, and hunted in extreme cold conditions dealing with cabin fever.

What a great hobby! :super:
